Zane and Kelley Quincey, Quincey Farms II
Located in Trenton, Zane and Kelley own and operate Quincey Farms II. The brothers grew up working for their dad on the farm and took it over three years ago. They grow peanuts, corn, watermelon, hay and oats and raise beef cattle.
Quincey Farms II has implemented BMPs for more than ten years. They utilize soil sampling, soil moisture probes and water conservation practices. Living next to seven springs, Zane and Kelley understand the importance of keeping the water supply clean.
The Quincey brothers are also supportive of UF/IFAS and their research. UF/IFAS conducts at least one trial a year on the farm. Zane and Kelley appreciate the research UF/IFAS does, and they like to learn new techniques they can use on their farm.
