Vann Family Farms
Vann Family Farms is owned by sixth-generation farmer John Levi and his wife, Christina Vann. Located in Lafayette County, the Vanns farm timber, an assortment of fresh vegetables and raise beef cattle.
Together, the Vann’s farm implements Best Management Practices that conserve and protect the land for future generations.
On their family farm, the Vanns practice rotational grazing for the cattle and crops, use natural fertilizers, and practice silvipasture by integrating their cattle and timber together.
In terms of leadership, John Levi Vann is a member and pastor of the Mayo Methodist Church and serves as the Vice President of the Suwannee Valley Youth Livestock Show and Sale. The Vanns are also very active in supporting the youth of Lafayette County.
The Florida Farm Bureau Federation is honored to award a 2022 CARES designation and sign to John Levi and Christina Vann for their continued dedication to being exemplary environmental stewards.
