Tom Gardner, Gardner Farms
Tom Gardner, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and owner of Gardner Farms in Lafayette County, founded his operation in 2015. Gardner Farms started with blackberries and has expanded to include strawberries and raspberries. Tom, with the help of his wife Amanda and son Tommy, implement Best Management Practices like drip irrigation and utilize soil moisture probes that help reduce water usage and help maintain the integrity of the land. He works closely with UF/IFAS helping find ways to grow the commercial blackberry industry in Florida.
Tom is involved with Lafayette County Farm Bureau. He and his family received the Lafayette County Farm Bureau Family of the Year in 2022.
