ABOUT TALLMAN FARMS

Jimmy Tallman has produced hay for more than 25 years in Lake Butler, Florida. Through the Suwannee River Partnership, Tallman learned about the Best Management Practices (BMP) program and has implemented them on his land to protect local natural resources.

Some of the most effective BMPs implemented include minimal tillage, buffer strips on field perimeters, an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program and GPS applications.

Tallman is actively involved in the Union County Commission and is a Florida Farm Bureau Federation member.
