Steve Hiebert produces peanuts, corn, peas, okra, sweetcorn, cantaloupe, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers and catfish. Steve has implemented practices to conserve water and protect soil health. He irrigates each individual plant instead of watering the entire field to prevent water waste and runoff to keep nutrients where they need to be. Additionally, Steve uses composted fertilizer to recycle waste and vertical tillage to cut down on soil erosion.
