ABOUT UF/IFAS NFREC- SUWANNEE VALLEY
Since 1947, as a result of legislation which created experiment stations throughout Florida, the North Florida Research and Education Center at Suwannee Valley has conducted research and educational efforts in hundreds of commodities to help producers gain new knowledge and techniques for better production.
At the farm, research is conducted on more than 50 commodities and a wide variety of Florida Best Management Practices (BMPs) with an emphasis on producer research relating to nutrient and water management.
UF/ IFAS NFREC- Suwannee Valley is actively involved in the Florida agriculture industry through partnerships with the Florida Farm Bureau Federation and CARES program, Suwannee River Water Management District, United State Department of Agriculture, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Farm Credit of Florida and the Florida Organic Growers.
