About Natural Bridge Honey Farm:
The origin of Natural Bridge Honey Farm’s name derived from its unique location in Columbia County. It is positioned on a piece of land that interrupts the surface of the Santa Fe River. This submerged water body offers several benefits to the farmland above it.
Matthew Thomas is a first-generation producer and manager of the business. He began beekeeping ten years ago before diversifying into cattle. He implements numerous Best Management Practices on his operation, including offering wildlife crossings and habitat, rotational grazing, and no-till planting of cool-season forages such as rye. Mr. Thomas also supports FFA and 4-H youth by providing show steers to the Florida State Fair each year.
The Florida Farm Bureau Federation is proud to recognize Matthew Thomas of Natural Bridge Honey Farm for his environmental stewardship.
