About J. Register Farms
Jim Register is a rancher in Volusia County that utilizes his land to raise cattle and cut foliage. He is enrolled in multiple Best Management Practices to ensure that his operation is sustainable and environmentally conscious. Register has adapted improved fertilizer regimens that require minimal output of chemicals, an amount even lower than the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences recommends. In addition, he utilizes rotational grazing to improve his pastures and cattle.
