Jackson Farms

Lance Jackson started Jackson Farms at age fifteen with fifteen acres of land that has now grown to 650 acres producing peanuts, cotton and cattle. He is reducing soil erosion and protecting water quality by rerouting terraces to slow water shed, keeping accurate soil fertility records and practicing minimal tillage to keep organic matter near the surface.

Mr. Jackson stays involved in his community, serving on the Holmes County Farm Bureau Board and the Holmes County Soil and Water Board. In addition, Mr. Jackson also serves on the Florida Cotton Growers Association Board, the Florida Cotton Advisory Board, the National Cotton Council Board and is a member of the Florida Peanut Producers Association.
