ABOUT CRUM FARM

Crum Farm is a fifth-generation family farm that began in 1840. Today, they raise beef cattle and grow hay on nearly 500 acres in Wakulla County. Owner, Gary Crum, shares that his family were early adopters of sustainable, common-sense practices, such as Best Management Practices (BMPs).

Crum has implemented practices, such as no-till to reduce erosion and improve soil health, since the early days of their operation. Other effective BMPs implemented include rotational grazing to allow the land time to refresh and regrow, offering new, tender forage for cattle. Crum also only applies fertilizer when and where hay is grown.

Florida Farm Bureau is proud to present a 2019 CARES designation and sign to Mr. Gary Crum and family, of Crum Farm, for their dedication in being outstanding environmental stewards.
